My house is looking a-okay; I think it might have a home tour potential. Does The Design Files accept submissions?

Yes, we do! For submission guidelines regarding home tours, interviews, products, and creative businesses/individuals doing amazing things, please head to our contact page for details. We’d love to hear from you!

I’m an architect, interior designer, or landscape designer keen to see my work on The Design Files. Do you publish projects?

We regularly publish completed residential architecture, interiors, and gardens projects from Australia and New Zealand. Email submissions@thedesignfiles.net with a project description and the professional photography, and we’ll get back to you if we’re keen to publish! Priority is given to content that has not yet been published.

I’m a homeowner or real estate agent and would love to advertise a property for sale in your On The Market section. How does this work?

Our On The Market section features sponsored stories about properties for sale across Australia. Please get in touch with our account manager Georgie for a media kit featuring pricing and inclusions: georgie@thedesignfiles.net. We are a small team so please note all properties are subject to editorial approval — we sadly can’t feature them all!

I’m an artist or creative working in Australia. Will you profile my business?

Profiling Australian creatives is at the heart of what we do. Please send us an email to introduce yourself — you may be a great fit for a Studio Visit.

Does The Design Files accept work experience, placements, or internships?

We’re a really tiny office, and don’t have the resources to offer internships at the moment. Sorry!

Can I republish what I see on The Design Files?

The Design Files’ original content and photos are copyright protected. Please email us before reposting our content on other publications, websites, or Instagram. You may share our images on Pinterest using the credit ‘via thedesignfiles.net’ and including a photographer credit if available.

You took some photos of me/my business when I was featuredon The Design Files. Can I get copies of those pictures?

Generating original photography for this website is a really huge investment, and for this reason we are quite careful about where our imagery ends up! We often allow independent creatives and small business owners to use our photographs on their personal websites, but this is assessed on a case by case basis.

We don’t usually allow our photos to be published in other publications (either online or in print) without remuneration. Please email us with your photo usage request, and we’ll do our best to assist.
